that's   a   wrap.

- just a girl trying to figure it out, and that's a wrap. -

WWJD? Nevermind... I don't want to do that.

What would Jesus do?

How many times have you asked that question? I just asked myself today as I relayed my frustration over a fellow student to my parents. Sitting at the dinner table I began to say all of the things I disliked about the person as if it were my job to identify their every flaw.

Isn't it true that we know what Jesus would do? We know that He would love others without a second thought. We know He would walk away without a fight, pray for His persecutors, seek first the kingdom of God, and did I mention He would love everyone?

I can't claim to be a Christian if I don't love even the most difficult people in my life. I can't claim to know and love and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ if I can't do as He did. As He would.

Next time you ask "What would Jesus do?" don't walk away from the answer.

To the person who has no idea they were the topic of my dinner discussion... I'm sorry. It is not and never will be my place to judge your attitude or anything else about you. It is my job to show you compassion and love just like Jesus would.

And to all of you Christians out there who have moments like I did today: it's okay. We aren't perfect and sometimes we're going to mess up. Take a breath, say a prayer, and regroup.

Do as Jesus did.
Pray as Jesus prayed.
Serve as Jesus served.
Love as Jesus loved.

Lord, forgive me for my judgements and my frustrations. Forgive me for my blind anger and selfish ways. I ask you to take my life and my heart and make it into something beautiful. Let your light shine through me. Let everyone see YOU through me.

Amen.
